Remote handling technology
In co-operation with Kerntechnische Hilfsdienst GmbH (KHG), TELEMESS GmbH has designed and developed electronic components for remote-controlled handling systems.
Remote-controlled handling systems are used in environments that are not accessible to humans. These systems must operate in scenarios of high radiation and contamination. Remote-controlled systems are required to rectify failures, remove and dispose of radioactive wastes in nuclear facilities.
These systems are characterised as a means of reducing the radiation exposure of the operational and response staff for intervening and operating in this environment.

Radiation resistant Components
The electronic components of the handling systems are housed in shielding containers for protection against radiation or equipped with radiation-resistant electronics.
The systems are usually controlled remotely by a control station, for example, from the cabin of a transport vehicle.
These electronic systems are essentially divided into the following subsystems (components):

- Video transmission
- Power electronics
Some of these electronic subsystems are partially designed for use in radiation fields up to 100Gy/h.
Industrial Components for Handling Systems
The electronic subsystems listed above are equally available with industry-standard electronic components and component technologies.
